Where to Get Your Malta Tourism Information

Although Malta is small, it can be a very busy place, especially during the tourist season. You may want to think ahead and find a reliable source of Malta tourism information that you can resort to in times of need.

You can probably get a fair bit of Malta tourism information from Google; however, there are some reputable places where you can source information before you get to Malta.

This website belongs to the Malta Tourism Authority – a governmental organisation that facilitates tourism. It is basically the tourism department. Their website contains a comprehensive list of events, places and services that tourists can use. It is a very reliable source for Malta tourism information, and we can go as far as calling it the most official resource too.

The only downside is that contacting the authority can be difficult because it is made up of a group of smaller entities that work together under one department.

They do, however, offer easier touchpoints that you can visit pretty easily. These Tourist Information offices are open to the public and strategically located so you can just drop by when you need to.

You can find a comprehensive list of these Malta Tourism Information offices here.

We highly recommend bookmarking these on your Google maps before arriving in Malta. You never know when you’re going to need some help. On the list, you may notice that they only operate during office hours (09:00-17:00) and, therefore, you may feel a little stranded if you arrive after hours.

You need not worry much about this. In Malta, especially in smaller villages and in the south of the island, there is always a local who is willing to help. Just ask the nearest local and you will get help with a smile. It is probably less so in the busy central areas such as Valletta, Sliema and Ta’ Xbiex because you will find fewer locals there.

You will always feel safe in Malta, even if you’re lost and there is no-one to ask - you’re never too far away from your destination, as the island is small and you can easily get back on track if you get lost.

If you’re using a car sharing GoTo car, you also don’t need to worry about where you are. The map in the app will show you the nearest car and you can simply type in your destination once you get your GoTo car. You will then be guided to your destination, very specifically, to a reserved parking spot nearest to your destination. You will never be stranded with a GoTo car – so register today and get a tourist prepaid pack for your holiday.
